Calving Season on the Ranch

We don't have a lot of pictures of calving this year, we have just been enjoying the fun.  The girls jump on the ranch quad and go check the cows numerous times a day.  They are ole pros at seeing jiggly rear ends, full udders, water bags, feet etc.  They are great at it.  They even helped Papa pull one (they held the cows tail and the puller handles).  I am very proud!
This is one big calf that came out backwards and had some problems with his hooves bending over on the knuckles.  He could not stand to suck, so Papa milked the cow and bottle feed him.  I will need to get an update today.

Our little dog Cocoa is the guardian of the animals.
The following pictures show the overflowing creek and the horses wanting badly to cross it for the oats
Papa is holding!
