The randomness of life

I'm not feeling organized enough between trips to the Doctor, Dentist and other such stuff... so this is a little of our life in the last few days as we wait for spring to arrive in full force!
Planting Wheat
We're going to see if we can grow some wheat grass for our chickens just because we want to.
We got new ponies!  Well, they are plastic...
Do you know what breed this rooster is?  I don't and would like to ~ please share!
Do you know what this cow is?  I do, or did... now I forget!  ha ha!
 Waiting for spring
Meeting new friends and going a little crazy!
Modelling my lovely gum boots, showing off a new shirt from SMAC and showing off how the snow if FINALLY melting... March 30th!
 My daughter is taking photos
Oh Look!  More new ponies ~ oh wait, they are stick ponies but will work for practicing
Have a happy day ~ I'm off to finish a long over due baby blanket!

Spring Bubbles and Plaid Overcoats

I don't need to explain do I?  We are tired of ice and snow.  So lets go blow bubbles outside and call spring to come!  Didn't it look at the calendar?  It's a little late for our liking.

Gluten Free Crepes Recipe ~ Flat or Skinny Pancakes

Just starting our journey into the world of "Gluten Free" cooking and this is the start of my blogging on what has worked and not worked so far!
On Sundays we have a tradition of eating "Skinny Pancakes" or "German Pancakes" or Crepes.
What to do now?
I used my regular recipe and substituted the flour for the gluten free flour mix in the picture below.

For you Mom ~  Save On Foods had it
Crepes, Skinny Pancakes, German Pancakes Recipe
3 eggs
beat in blender
add 1 1/4 cup milk (I do part water)
Add a splash of vanilla
Then a dash of salt
Whip up in the blender again
Add 1 cup of the gluten free flour mix
Whip up in the blender again
These cooked up a little more fluffy and with some air bubbles ~ maybe from being in the blender?  They taste good!!!

These rice noodles above were VERY tasty, but they were constantly running over in my large pot.  Some others told me later to "soak" them in hot water instead, so I will try that next time.

Don't under cook anything Gluten Free... I think it needs more baking time!
